Tube Industry Activity

TubeNet statistics is pretty good indicator for the activity within Tube & Pipe Industry. The recent development shows that the activity is rising after long period of downtime. Therefore I could ironically say that if there is no new terrorist attack, the coming months should be positive for our industry.

The European insudtries are returning from holidays soon and I expect that the coming authumn will recall the investments at machinery sales side. Steel tube sales has been successful due to high pricing and huge demand in China. It is also expected to remain similar during authumn.

New Domain Name for Asia-Server

I am changing Domain Name for the server located in Malaysia. The TUBENET.CX became difficult to maintain, so soon you will be able to use new one: TUBENET.US. The server will still locate in Malaysia - thus - offering fast access to TubeNet for Asian visitors.

New Statistics

Finally I am able to show better statistics about the traffic at each TubeNet server. Feel free to check them out here. The charts generate from the raw data by Webalizer. Generally speaking the monthly number of visitors is now exceeding 50.000 on regular basis. This figure includes all visits - also if some visitor has entered TubeNet several times. The daily average number of visitors is about 1700.

I am happy with these figures. This is now the 9th year I am running TubeNet and can still remember well, when it was cool to have 500 visitors per month - now the traffic is 100 times more.

Keep your contact details updated!

An important reminder for all TubeNet Members: Please check that your contact information is updated in TubeNet's registers. Especially the e-mail addresses. You can use TubeNet's search engine to find all the categories you are listed in. Each of them needs to be updated separately. I am planning to introduce a better registration system in the near future including this information in a single database, which makes the updating easy.
