Kent Corporation has introduced several new coil end joiners especially designed for heavy gauge, large diameter pipe mills. The new line of welders has special options to handle the special requirements of large diameter pipe mills. These welders feature automatic lead and tail end scrap disposal. This feature can eliminate the need for a crop shear for the lead and tail end. The welder can also process excessive camber in materials and is ideally suited to produce high quality welds quickly. A recent installation repeatedly obtained high quality welds on 78" x 5/8" thick material in five minutes.
