Pittsburgh, PA, December 2, 2002 Copperweld announced today the promotion of Christopher M. Reiter to General Manager, Marketing and Sales for its North American Structural Tubing Group. He will be responsible for all commercial activity for structural steel tubular products in North America.
Reporting to Mr. Reiter will be Terry Barrett, Director of Sales for Structural Tubing in eastern and central Canada, and the northeast United States; Leigh Lynch, Director of Sales for Structural Tubing in the western United States and western Canada; and John Simon, Director of Sales for Structural Tubing in the midwest, southwest and southeast United States. Also reporting to Mr. Reiter will be Dave Motyll, Director of Product and Business Development.
Mr. Reiter has been with Copperweld since 1997. He has held various positions at the company including Process/Metallurgical Engineer, Account Manager and, most recently, Inside Sales Manager for U.S. Structural. Prior to working with Copperweld, Mr. Reiter worked in engineering and operations positions with National Steel and North Star Steel. He earned a BS degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla.
Copperweld is the largest producer of steel tubing in North America, with 14 plants in the United States and Canada. It is also the world's largest manufacturer of bimetallic wire products at two plants in the U.S. and the United Kingdom. Copperweld is headquartered in Pittsburgh and employs 2,900 people.
