Addison Machine recently introduced the first in a line of unidirectional mill components. The redesigned entry guide edge trimmer can be installed or adjusted from either hand of operation. Prior to this innovation, most components of this unit were designed and assembled to match the mill flow. The mill directional difference requires mill manufacturers to design, manufacturer, and stock numerous items that are mill flow specific. This innovative improvement eliminates the need to stock these additional components and reduces the costs associated with manufacturing and inventorying the direction specific spare parts.
Existing edge trimmers can be retrofitted with these new features.
Addison Machine Engineering designs, manufactures and reconditions tube, pipe, rollform and steel mill roll tooling (including single and two-piece straightener rolls) and mill components, as well as complete tube and pipe mills and rollformers. Other services include equipment rebuilding and retrofitting, operator training, mill alignment and technical consulting.
