Back to Business

Number of TubeNet visitors broke half million just before holidays. It was the time for me to remove the old fashioned counter from TubeNet. There is no need anymore to proof that lot's of people visits at TubeNet. Half Million is hard evidence for me that Tube & Pipe Industry has found TubeNet. No need to say that I am very glad about it.

Now, when holidays are gone it is the time to view to the future. What is happening in US? Will Germany pick up? Are the first sights from South Korea, China and Malysia real?

From my personal point of view, I can say that for last two years, things have not been showing as positive as they are today. US seems to have positive start of the year. I cannot say the same about Germany - The economical engine of europe. Many Economical figures are still pointing that nothing will happen in Germany for some times. What about France? I don't know really, but recently I have seen some activity from France. Is that sign of starting business? Last two years have been so bad in France. But is this what I have seen something signs for better? I hope so. Anyhow, new things are happening. Russia is getting up fast.

In fact, there will be Tube Moscow Show on coming May and I am definitely going to visit there. What I understand now, not too many manufacturers are joining there now, Serious players like Addison, T-DRILL, VAI, EFD are there and some other Italians. (Why I could not find any names of the Italians? What are they afraid? BLM? Pedrazzoli?) But, I have feeling that this show will be soon better than show like Tube Singapore. Just let few years to go.

In Russia they like Vodka so much. That is good, but those who knows me, I am a beer drinker, I guess I need to prepare myself when going to Moscow.

Cheers,
Juha
