Half Million - 500.000 - Vistors at TubeNet
This has been a touching week for me - Half million visitors at TubeNet.
I have been involved with Tube and Pipe Industry quite some time and
found it very interesting. It is not a wide industry that attracts loads of people,
but concentration of professionalism around Tubes and Pipes.
In my life I have been interestead in computers and programming, so eight
years ago I set up a website that was dealing with Tubes and Pipes. A year
later I found that some other people visits at my site and being inspired of that,
I created "TubeNet".
Today TubeNet has taken the role as the Global Site for Tube and Pipe Industry.
It appears on three servers: USA server locates in Pittsburgh,
Europe server in Espoo, Finland and Asian server in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Today TubeNet also co-operates with FMA and SME. Especially co-operation
with Fabtech Exhibitions in Chicago and Cleveland have been close to TubeNet. Recently also
American Standard organisation ASTM has shown their
interest in TubeNet what comes to their Standards for Tube and Pipe area.
Soon there will be a dedicated page for ASTM at TubeNet.
So, today with half milloin visitors I feel very happy about TubeNet. It is something that
will keep growing and will make many TubeNet Members happy. There are pure
statistics behind this: While in the beginning it was great to see
that 10 new visitors have been visiting in one day. Last year
there were some 400 visitors per day and today it is not a surprise that there
are more than 800 visitors per day. Monthly record is now over 35000 visits - not hits! (Some
sites are referring to "hits" which is something else than number of visits)
35000 monthly visitors may sound small for some, but keep in mind that this figure is much more that some well
known international tube and pipe magazines have subscribers.
Because of all this, I feel as if it's my birthday now. Therefore, I am delighted to show you
some comments that TubeNet has received during all these years. They are in gronological order -
the recent ones in top - old ones in bottom. Feel free to take a look at TubeNet Guest Book.
Cheers,
Juha
