Flash Butt Welder for Shearing, Centering and Deburring

IDEAL-Werk, Germany, offers a full range of flash welders and shield gas arc welders for the coil joining operation in front of continuous tube mills. The new AS 100 B-P flash welder is designed for shearing, centering, flash butt welding and deburring of mild steel strip sections up to 400 x 5 mm.

The machine has a hydraulic drive system for the welding carriage. It produces a maximum upsetting force of 100 kN and has a transformer of 200 kVA capacity at 50 % duty cycle. The height grade of automation of the machine enables short cycle times to be obtained in the coil joining operation.

The flash butt welding process produces fully welded and perfectly resistant weld joints.
