T-DRILL Introduces New Automatic Tube Cut-Off Machine

T-DRILL has introduced a new Tube Cutting Center: TCC-50. This rotary cut-off machine is a combination of good and reliable features taken from the previous models and improvements allowed by the latest technology. The principle remains the same: Fast, chipless rotary cutting.

Rotary cut-off eliminates chips, scrap, secondary deburring and the need for washing parts. It is fast, quiet and very accurate high volume method for cutting tube to length. The material savings can also be considerable, since the rotary blade doesn't remove tube material the way a saw does.

Minimum I.D. reduction is of vital importance for secondary operations such as mandrel bending. With TCC-50, this can be achieved by using a fast, two-step cutting method. First, the blade penetrates 95% of the tube wall. After that, the piece is separated by pulling it laterally or pushing it apart from the side.

Typical applications

Rotary tube cut-off has many suitable applications. Nowadays, the method is used, for example, in:

• heat exchanger applications
• air-conditioning
• heating
• refrigeration
• solar energy
• automotive gasoline and brake lines as well as automotive heat exchangers.
• hydraulic tubing

TCC-50 - An Automatic Cut-Off Machine

The automatic TCC-50 tube cut-off machine accepts a wide O.D. range (Ø1.5 - 45 mm / 0.06" - 1.77") and cuts to length from both coil and straight lengths. The machine is suited for copper, aluminium, mild and stainless steel tubing.

Simultaneously grooving, end forming or chamfering, can be integrated into the system.
