Eagle-Eaton Leonard Introduces Electric 75 mm Tube Bender

A new electric bender capable of bending up to 76 mm (3.0") diameter tubing has been announced by Eagle-Eaton Leonard. The Vectorbend 75 XPE incorporates the latest technology and features for maximum productivity, part quality, reliability and fast set-up. Typical applications include automotive exhaust tubes and structural components.

The VB 75 XPE introduces a variety of innovations, including a heavy-duty servo motor to power the high-capacity bend arm. Built on a low profile base, the VB 75 XPE simplifies operator loading with a working height of just 1m (40"). In addition, the entire bed and hydraulics are packaged in a sleek, enclosed design for quiet, clean operation.

Several standard features are incorporated on the new VB 75 XPE. For example, linear roller bearings with automatic lubrication are used on the pressure die, follower slide and centerline radius adjustment. A high performance rack and pinion servomotor-driven carriage offers exceptional accuracy and repeatability. Quick-change single-piece collets provide fast tooling changeovers. A new, high load bend arm assembly offers exceptional ruggedness for high torque applications.

Several unique accessories are available on the new VB 75 XPE. Among these are a multi-position headshifter for stacked tool applications, position controlled pressure die assist and various automatic loaders. In addition, a direct-acting tube booster with boost-to-tangent capability simplifies tight radius bending and reduces trim length.

Machine programming and monitoring is easily accomplished through the adEPT touch screen graphical user interface. The adEPT uses easy to understand tube-bending icons displayed on a high-resolution color monitor.

Eagle-Eaton Leonard has manufacturing facilities in Canada, U.S. and England with supporting offices in Europe, South America and China. Products include CNC tube benders, endformers, tooling, muffler making machines and tube measuring equipment.
