Thermatool Corp. announces the appointment of Ridgewood USA Ltd., of Merrilleville, Indiana as their authorized service center for the over 750 Thermatool vacuum tube welders still operating in the U.S.A. The agreement, effective July 1, 2001, is a means to ensure that customers using vacuum tube technology continue to be provided a superior level of service into the future.

Ridgewood Electric was established in 1980 to provide both service and the supply replacement parts to Canadian tube and pipe manufacturers, and has been the service agent for Thermatool Welders in Canada since 1990. Ridgewood USA was formed in 1998 to accommodate a growing demand from US manufacturers. Ridgewood has offices in Brampton, Ontario, Merrillville, Indiana, Atlanta, Georgia and Birmingham, Alabama.
