Tube 2000 is given new and
larger homes in Düsseldorf

New hall arrangements for the world’s most important trade fairs
for tube, wire and cable technology.
The Tube and Wire trade fairs, which will be taking place once again in
Düsseldorf from 3 to 7 April 2000, are being relocated. Exhibitors at the
most important international tube and pipe technology trade fair will be housed in Halls
3 to 5, while Halls 7 to 10 and 13 to 15 have been set aside for the
exhibiting companies at the world's leading wire and cable machinery trade fair.
Hall 6, right next to the main north entrance, will
act as a link between the two fairs. Companies whose products overlap both
sectors will be allocated exhibition space here for the first time.
Messe Düsseldorf and the relevant trade committees took the step of
rearranging the events in response to the growing international interest in
the two trade fairs. With Tube counting 539 exhibitors on a total net
exhibition space of 19,257m2 and Wire's exhibitors numbering 1,054 on
47,213 m2, both events had reached their existing halls’ maximum capacities.
The only way to continue expanding the exhibition area - as in previous
years - was to rearrange the hall plan. But Messe Düsseldorf made
absolutely sure that the close relationship stayed intact in the process.
Tube 2000 exhibitors will be moving into entirely new halls.Given the rate of growth in exhibitor numbers and exhibition space – around
30% in 1996 and 1998 – Messe Düsseldorf and the International Tube
Association (ITA) decided that Tube should be held in Halls 3 to 5 in the
year 2000. The amount of available space is now 44,500m2. The organisers
have introduced these changes to foster the potential for growth in tube
technology.
Messe Düsseldorf and the
International Tube Association (ITA) are expecting around 580 exhibitors
at Tube.
