Bundy sees quality rewarded
Bundy, the fluid-carrying specialist to both the automotive and refrigeration industries has seen
three of its plants in Germany and one facility in Spain awarded with the prestigious QS-9000
standard. This brings the total of Bundy QS-9000 certified sites to over 40 worldwide.
The award is the recognised universal quality standard within the automotive industry and
an extension to the ISO 9000 series. The management system needed to attain the standard is
designed to ensure that companies use the same globally accepted quality 'best practices' to
achieve continuous improvements.
The Bundy manufacturing site at Heidelberg and satellite facility at Neunkirchen received
QS-9000, as did the two European facilities of Technoflow, the Bundy multi-layer flexible fuel
line specialist, in Kassel and Tauste (Spain).
Commenting on the awards Christian Jean, Bundy Automotive's European managing director
reported: “Quality is our number one goal – our customers demand it."
He continues: “Complying to quality standards like QS-9000 helps us to increase
efficiency, continually improve and ensure that customer requirements are met, if
not exceeded. Each plant is regularly reviewed by auditors, which keeps us all on
our toes."
