This time it's about the Exhibition Survey. The number of given answers was finally 248. Nearly 30 was rejected because they came from the same IP-address.

I wanted to give a try to find out what Industry is thinking about Tube Exhibitions during the time when shows are not going on and the glamour less effects to peoples mind. Statistical analyzes are not my best field, so, I took those old university statistics lessons. Sorted out the data as it should be done etc.

Unfortunately the results are not reliable for classifying individual shows - the error marginal became too big. Therefore, I just give some overall comments that were clear:

  • Tube Dusseldorf and Fabtech are two most appreciated Tube & Pipe related Exhibitions
  • 73% of submissionsions came from US and Canada.
  • 68% of submissions came from Company Owners, MD:s and Sales Executives.
  • 69% of exhibitors expressed that if they know that competitors are not attending to the show they would not attend either. (This was much more than I expected)
  • 82% of exhibitors expressed that one reason for attending to the show is that their potential customers could think that his business is not doing too good if he is not making a booth.
  • 76% expressed that if nothing different comes up, they will join next time or at least are considering it.

I learned something from this and now I have already a better idea how to make show survey a little bit better way. After Tube Singapore on October and Fabtech on November you will see.
