It was rainy two weeks in Italy. Beleave me. Tube Industry is concentrated in northern part of the country and we got almost continuous rain, meaning, not the best season for a visit.

But, the rain didn't stop tube people. Nope. The "Open House" occasion I joined was successfull. Magnetti Marelli, York, Carrier and several smaller companies showed up and the discussions were truly interesting. So, the bad weather didn't block great ideas after all.

But now is the time to sort these things out here on TubeNet. Can you believe: 542 emails came when downloaded. So, if you are wondering why my response is not there yet, you know the reason.

On coming week I will send the next TubeNet Digest to subscribers. It has been nearly two months since the last digest was sent and there are plenty of interesting inquiries waiting for the next digest.

One more thing. Today I have posted an interesting article from Mannessmann - Manufacturer of Copper tube lines.

Hakkinen won Formula 1 world champion title 1999

I am motor racing fan indeed and this Sunday morning was very important to me. Formula 1 race in Suzuka, Japan just finished and Mika Hakkinen, my fellow countryman from Finland, won the world champion title for Mc Laren's motor racing team! For Hakkinen this is second year on the row when he won the title. Ferrari's Eddie Irvine was second.

See you around,

Juha Haapala
