A Fence Project and Stockholm Marathon
I guess I am telling here lots of industry stuff so once in a while, it is
better to speak also some funny things too.
Those who have been following TubeNet for years knows that I had a garage project two years ago.
This summer I have a fence project. Why fence?? Reason is a dog. We are getting a dog and
to make life simplier, I decided to make a fence to prevent escapings. The project is half-way now
and you can see the result later at TubeNet.
Another "crazy me" thing is running. I started to run 14 months ago. I felt that I need to do something about
my physical condition. From the start, most of the time, I have had problems with my legs.. Knees, heels, ankles..you
just name them all. I guess 17 years without running did the job. But I learned to like it - Running. The first passion
was to make my first Marathon and it was in Atlanta. It was November 7 months ago. Still so happy about it despite the pain.
The second passion came when I saw a program from TV that was taken from Stockholm 2001 Marathon. I wanted to join there!!
Now Stockholm is done and I am very happy again. The run was easier than in Atlanta since the really bad pain came just during
last 5 km (3 miles). In Atlanta it was pain from the start to the end. This time it was my right heel. It was a big problem during Tube Dusseldorf already in April , so those who sow me limping there may rememer it. At that time I thought
that Stockholm is not possible at all. Then I got some good advice from Mr. David MacDonald, New Zealand - Very experienced
long distance runner. He adviced how to run right and I think I am in right way now. (David is with NDA and is
representing there Geroge Fisher, Polysoude
and T-DRILL in New Zealand ).
My net-time was 4.22.18. Pretty happy about it since it was very hot there. 27 C.. (80 with F).
5 minutes less than in Atlanta.
And still the same..I have not limited my love with beer:) Running and beer works fine:)
Cheers!
