Tube industry in Europe has woken up from summer holidays.
In US it seems to be waiting time for the Presidential
election. I see no worries though, US economy is in very
good shape and interests as well as inflation rates are still
low - for capital investment point of view, everything is OK.
Also Asian countries are getting up very well - as if everybody
has already forgotten the recession time that we all were
talking about a year ago.
In Europe, the weak Euro is making the central bank nervous.
The expected strengthening of the new currency has not been
realized yet. Instead, inflation has been increased especially
due to higher oil price. In fact, in several European countries
there have been huge demonstrations against high gas prices
like in France, UK, Belgium, Norway and Spain.
It seems that also in this way the Europe is concentrating.
The demonstrations are not only national problem. They are
spreading from country to another. I guess that it is something
you need to pay for the United Europe.
Anyhow, I am just a Tube Man - Not an economist, so don't take
my thoughts too seriously.
And, last but not least this time, my regards from Monza (Italy) Formula 1
race. Those who are familiar with my interests knows that Motor
Racing is top of the list. I have never seen Formula 1 in real
life and it was a great experience for me to see one - Monza.
My friends, believe, it was something to pay for and see cars
flying about 230 MPH (350 KM/h) and braking
the speed down within 250 meters. And still, racers are
overtaking at the same time!
It was a deep sad though when the fatal accident of the voluntieer helper
took place, the first after the death of great Ayrton Senna year 1994. Anyhow,
this is motor racing and the danger is always there.
