Dear TubeNet visitor,

No more Blech for tube industry - Some notices on Euro-Blech '98.

Please understand that all these notices are solely my own and doesn't respect to any other party.

For some years the organizers of Euro-Blech have been inviting tube industry to participate on this show that is - unquestionably - the most important Sheet Metal concentrated show in Europe - probably in the world.

Also this year I could notice that a number companies related to our industry attended to the show. Together with some of my colleques we discussed with several other tube & pipe related companies and it was not surprising to notice that the tube industry doesn't like the idea that Tube-Dusseldorf and Euro-Blech takes place in the very same year. In fact, there is only some 6 months that separates these two shows. Everyone who I was discussing agrees this problem. Of course it is understandable that the organizer is trying to attract as many companies as possible, but is that necessary good for tube industry?

There is no doubts that Tube-Dusseldor if the most important event for our industry. When discussing about this matter on the show, it seems that everybody agrees this matter, but nobody knows what to do about it. I'm just thinking myself, the organizers really can control the minds when they expose the invitations for the shows. They really can create a kind of feeling that you will be loosing someting valuable if you will not attend to one show. My personal thinkin is that the only way to handle this is that the industry get's together somehow and makes a common decision for which show to be joined and which not.

The same problem seems to be in USA as well where Fabtech is now again. It was only last year when it took place in Chicago. Many of us also attends to IMTS. I'm just wondering where this all go if tube industry doesn't find a way to control it.

that Would it be easy if tube industry just decides not to attend Blech at all? Just like that and if everybody rejects the show there is no need to worry what the customers would think. everybody feels angry because so many is afraid not to go to Blech. Just because they think about customers who may be thinking that The problem seems to be thatto be hoping that Euro-Blech I had an opprtunity to compThis sheet metal show as also participated by a number of tube industry exhibitiors.

the industry seems to be hoping that this show would be THE show in Europe that is for our industry. What comes to Tubenet, I am happy to announce that Tubenet has now an official Domain. http://www.tubenet.org

For the time being this url will forward you to old site that locates in Finland. Later the server in Finland will be a mirror site and you can use the one that is fastest for you.
