Kent Corporation is proud to announce the development of a new horizontal accumulator that virtually eliminates strip marking during processing. The new accumulator incorporates the "free loop" principle previously only available in the Floop accumulator to the horizontal version. This feature eliminates inter-wrap movement and strip damage from material "rubbing" against each other. In addition, Kent has added its patented 360-degree takeout arbor to the horizontal design to allow the strip to run perpendicular to the arbor rolls regardless of strip width or arbor angle. Finally, the pinch rolls on the new unit are coated with a special material to allow for friction to drive the material without "slipping" or marking of the material during feeding.
