Roll-Kraft is actively participating in the Weatherhead School of Management's Six Sigma Continuous-Improvement Project. Graduate students from Masters of Science in Management-Operations Research & Supply Chain, Masters of Business Administration, and Masters of Engineering and Management are involved in the Six Sigma and Quality management course. Near the end of their course study, the students are paired with a local manufacturing company to allow them to work with and observe relevant processes in a real-life production situation and make recommendations where methods could be improved. Projects have included investigating ways to reduce waste and, this semester, determining methods to minimize or eliminate machine down-time on the production floor. This program provides each student with the experience of participating in the daily activities of a manufacturing company. At the end of the project, the students present their findings to the sponsor company.
