Company: Thermatool Corp., CT, United States
Attn: Robert J. Doran, V.P. Sales

January 2003. East Haven, Connecticut. Thermatool Corp. has recently announced the development of a unique new 6 5/8" diameter Cold Saw Cutoff to cut both round and shapes inline on a high frequency welded pipe mill. The unit has been shipped to a major pipe producer in Southeast Asia for installation on an existing structural mill. This is the customer's second Thermatool Cold Saw and follows a 16" diameter unit to also cut both rounds and shapes that was put into production last year. The new Cold Saw can handle diameters from 2" to 6 5/8" diameter rounds, 2" to 5" squares and up to 5" x 7" rectangles at speeds up to 300 feet per minute. Wall thicknesses can vary from 1.5 mm (.060") to 12.7 mm (.50") maximum. The photo shows the new Saw undergoing final testing in Thermatool's plant prior to shipment.
