Kent Corporation is proud to announce its second installation of a gauge rolling mill on a tube line of a domestic tube producer. Kent worked in concert with I2S on the project to provide a gauge rolling mill that gaurantees the tube producer can make product at the low end of the tolerance range. Utilization of a guage mill in line with a tube mill can increase material yields by rolling the material to exact thickness requirements. In addition, the increased tolerance on the steel can allow the tube producer to make tighter tolerance tubing, reduce scrap (the drop on DOM tube), and increase yield. The current installation is the second unit purchased by the same customer.
