Fabtech International in Cleveland October 29-31

Fabtech International, North America's largest annual metal forming and fabricating trade exposition, and the industry's premier gathering of metal forming and fabricating professionals. Sponsored jointly by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International (FMA), FABTECH 2002 will be held October 29 - 31 at the I-X Center in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.

Fabtech is organized into four technology areas for ease in comparing specialized equipment and processes: Forming & Fabricating, Tube & Pipe forming, Stamping, and Welding. Each area showcases the latest offerings by the world's leading equipment manufacturers, technology experts and materials suppliers. Fabtech 2002 expects to draw 18,000 professionals from over 50 countries to see nearly 700 exhibiting companies.

"Fabtech 's mission has always been to provide forming and fabricating professionals with resources they need - that's more essential today than ever before," said John Catalano, show manager for SME. "We continue to provide the industry's most comprehensive event."
Educational opportunities and special events give FABTECH ad added dimension. John Ferriola, Executive Vice President for Nucor Corp, will deliver the Keynote Address on Wednesday, October 30 at 8 a.m. Mr. Ferriola, who's area of concentration is sheet metal, offers an insider view on the future of the steel industry. FABTECH also offers more than 20 Conference/Technical Sessions, including free forums on Welding Automation, Tuesday, October 29 and Tube & Pipe Bending, Thursday, October 31. The FABTECH Brainstorming Lunch gives FABTECH attendees a chance to tap into the collective knowledge of their peers Wednesday, October 30, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The luncheon provides visitors with the opportunity to share solutions to common manufacturing problems, ask questions and network on current issues during roundtable discussions. Tickets are $25 and include lunch. Seating is limited.

On the 250,000 square-foot show floor, attendees will review technology categories including: software; tube and pipe technology; plate & structural fabricating; press brakes, CNC equipment, coil processing; roll forming; cutting (waterjet and plasma); punching; finishing; hydroforming; lasers; material handling; automation/robotics; safety equipment; saws; and tooling. Show floor hours ar Tuesday and Wednesday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
