The new approval is to certify that the extruded pipe branches manufactured with T-DRILL collaring machines meet the requirements of Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU Annex 1. Section 3.1.1 The certification was issued by KIWA Inspecta and is based on: "..tests and research reports performed by T-Drill Oy and several independent research organisations since 1980's and supported by long-term experience. Extruded pipe branches manufactured in accordance with the operating instructions of the machine will not contain defects detrimental to the safety of pressure equipment."
