The Tube & Pipe Association, Intl. (TPA), and its flagship magazine, TPJ The Tube & Pipe Journal, announce their upcoming TPJ Symposium, to be held March 12-14, 2008, at Disneys Contemporary Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

This multi-speaker conference will explore best practices and technology advancements in the areas of tube and pipe producing and fabricating. Technical presentations will address tube bending, welding, quick change tube cutting systems, and quench and temper processes. Operational topics will include justifying equipment purchases, organization and execution of capital projects, and managing by walking around. TPJ Editor Eric Lundin will be on hand to supply his perspective.

The TPJ Symposium will be co-located with Metal Matters 2008: The Metal Fabricators Management Summit, the annual conference of TPAs technology affiliate, the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Intl. (FMA). TPJ Symposium attendees will take part in a session by FMAs economist Chris Kuehl of Armada Corporate Intelligence, a panel on work force development, and networking opportunities offered in the Metal Matters programas well as keynotes by John Ratzenberger, host of The Travel Channels Made in America (and known for his role as Cliff Clavin on sit-com Cheers); Susan Annunzio of the Center for High Performance; Danny Forster of The Discovery Channels Build it Bigger (formerly Extreme Engineering); and Tom Waddle, former wide receiver for the Chicago Bears.
