Building on the success of last years event, Metal Bulletin is pleased to announce the 2nd Steel Tube and Pipe Conference. Incorporating both the welded and seamless steel tube and pipe markets, this comprehensive conference will offer detailed analysis of the OCTG and line-pipe markets on day one with analysis of other non-energy tube and pipe markets including: construction tube and precision tube for the engineering and automotive sectors on day two.
The developed worlds insatiable thirst for energy, and the emergence of the industrial powerhouses of China and India, is the major catalyst of the growth in the OCTG and line-pipe markets. Increased drilling rates, new line-pipe projects and strong energy prices have guaranteed demand and the outlook remains bullish. However, rapid expansion of seamless pipe production in China, in particular, is dampening prices of products such as non-heat treated OCTG grades on the international market.
In the other non-energy steel tube and pipe markets, such as mechanical, precision and structural, producers continue to benefit from ongoing strength in the steel markets, however, demand is less buoyant than in the energy markets. In the European markets, Turkish, Ukrainian and Chinese producers continue to cause problems with many of the commodity grades of pipe; what is the outlook for pipe development in these regions?
This is the only international conference looking at the commercial aspects of the steel tube and pipe industry.
Please join us for in-depth presentations on the following subjects:
The global outlook for the oil and gas industry and the economic horizon for OCTG and line pipe The development of OCTG and line pipe production in the Middle East The impact of consolidation in the tube and pipe sector The global outlook for large diameter pipelines, with a particular focus on the growth of the industry in Russia, North America and Central Asia The implications of Chinese tube & pipe capacity increases and its rising exports into oil and gas pipe consuming regions such as the Middle East and North America The current status of anti-dumping duties globally and their possible future directions in key markets The European construction tube market outlook. Will Turkey, the Ukraine and China continue to threaten? The growing importance of the Eastern European markets for automotive and construction tube, and the implications of this growth to Western European producers. The development of welded and seamless precision tube for the engineering and automotive markets The challenges facing the stainless steel tube and pipe sector and the outlook for the future
