Kent Corporation has developed a new coil end joiner capable of running material thickness from .020" to .165" and strip widths from 20" to 62". The new machine can operate in joint fit up mode or in overlap mode. On the lighter gauge material, the material is welded with one strip on top of the other. The welder is being installed on a grinding line that operates at high tensions. The material for the application was stainless steel.
