We are seeking Piping Superintendent for OAG Project, Das Island/Offshore Abu Dhabi, 6 months max, 2 months on / 2 weeks off. Job description: - Work under supervision and direction of the Project Superintendent during the construction, testing and commissioning of the critical and BOP piping systems required for the construction of a combined cycle power plant. - Oversee the complete erection of pipe, hangers, supports, insulation and painting for critical and BOP piping systems. - The duties are to ensure that pipe systems are stored, maintained, installed, tested and commissioned in accordance with the applicable codes, specifications, drawings and design documents. - Daily reporting and inspections on work in progress. Coordination with HRSG and Millwright superintendents during the erection of the HRSGs, CTGs and STGs. - Assisting in subcontract preparation and management. Reviewing invoices and assisting in progress reporting and approving progress payments. - Coordinate problems and solutions between site Subcontractor, craft labor, and the design and field engineers. - Coordinate the required inspections and testing with the Subcontractor, startup manager and Owner. Review and oversee the storage, preventative maintenance and cleaning of piping spools prior to commissioning - Review piping spool drawings, hanger design drawings and P&IDs. Coordinate with the Subcontractor responsible for theerection of HRSG. - Attend and participate in weekly coordination meetings with other Subcontractors and area superintendents.

- Knowledge of or experience with ERW carbon steel a plus, but not required

- Knowledge of tube mills, cable mills, metal fabrication, tube drawing, metal forming environment or heavy manufacturing required

- Candidate must be willing and able to do general maintenance from warehouse clean-up to fixing hydraulic leaks to operating mill equipment

- TIG welding experience preferred (certification a plus but not required)

- This position has no company relocation assistance

Global Purchasing Steel Pipe/Tube Manager

Summary of Position:
This position will oversee the day to day purchasing department function and will be responsible for the procurement of certain commodities such as pipe/tube steel, materials, supplies, equipment, etc. of required quality and to the most economic advantage. The Purchasing Manager will maintain and build all domestic and international supplier relations. This person will support all purchasing contracts and also support all Inventory/Production planning. The Purchasing Manager will strongly interact with our internal departments (Engineering, Finance, Inventory & Planning to meet goals and objectives. The manager will guide and direct the purchasing function in a proactive manner in all facets of the business including strategic purchasing, supply chain management, policy conformance, vendor interactions, cost control, and training. This person will personally negotiate major purchases such as steel direct from mills, capital equipment, sub-contracts, etc.

This role will monitor vendor performance through quality and delivery performance. They will be required to analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future cost trends with finished goods and raw materials domestically and internationally. The Purchasing Manager will manage business reviews with key suppliers and work to enhance relationships with strategic suppliers. This role will support all project teams for new product development and existing product enhancement.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business or Operations management
Minimum of 10 years experience required in Purchasing, Sourcing, or Inventory Planning
Prior supervisory experience required.
CPM or CPSM certificate preferred.
Experience in purchasing international and domestic steel in pipe or tube form
Demonstrated experience in negotiating supplier contracts and price negotiations
Familiarity with all MS office software, as well as MRP/Purchasing.
