ServoTIG - Revolution within Orbital Welding What is ServoTIG and why it is something new? It is Orbital Welding Machine that is able to find 100% welding penetration just by itself. There is no need to enter parameters. This saves all the time needed for parameter programming. No need to make test welding. This saves material and time. It can make full penetration even if the material has unexpected changes Weld information available for each weld that tells all about how penetration succeeded. Multiple welds can be made simultaneously being controlled by the program. How it goes? The welding head is clamped around the tube just like every orbital welding head. You enter some information from the pipe: Material, diameter and wall thickness. The welding cycle is started. ServoTIG starts welding and examines the welding area until it finds the full penetration, then it keeps welding with 100% penetration. If there are any unexpected changes of the material during the welding process - like wall thickness variations- those are found by the machine and adjustments are made automatically to get full penetration.
